Atteca 2013 is a red wine of the Calatayud denomination of origin of the region of Aragon elaborated BY the Bodega Ateca. The grapes come from old Garnacha vineyards with low yield, located in hills at 700-1000 meters altitude. Planted mostly in metamorphic rock soils and clayey gravels. After the fermentation in stainless steel The wine reaches a great complexity after remaining 10 months in French oak barrels.
Atteca 2013 is deep cherry color, on the nose presents intense aromas of ripe red fruit (raspberry) that combine perfectly with the special notes of cocoa, vanilla and licorice that respond to a noble ageing.
Mouth powerful and full with a very fresh and fruity, but tasty and complex, mineral, with remarkable end of mouth where they reappear in retronasal fruit and spices aromas. Magnificent expression of an elegant Aragonese garnacha with very ripe tannins.
