Auchentoshan 12 Years is a single malt that comes from a distillery dating back to 1823 located at the foot of the old Kilpatrick hills on the famous River Clyde, the best known in Scotland and in which boats were made as the Queen Mary or queen Elizabeth I and II.
The Auchentoshan 12 years is obtained through a unique process of triple distillation inherited from the previous 10-year-old whisky. Subsequently the resulting mixture is aged for 12 years in casks that have previously contained Spanish sherry.
Auchentoshan 12 Years offers a delicate flavor to citrus (Mandarin and lime) with caramelized notes and the smell captures something tempting as notes to toasted almonds and caramel with an outstanding fragrance to crème brulee.
