Ausàs Interpretación is a single-varietal wine made from Tempranillo from the Ribera del Duero DO, produced by Ausàs Bodegas y Viñedos. Ausàs Bodegas y Viñedos is a winery in Quintanilla de Onésimo, where Xavier Ausàs, former winemaker at Vega Sicilia from 1968 to 1998, is based. Xavier Ausàs has also collaborated with other prestigious wineries. Although they do not have their own vineyards, they work with people they have known for over 30 years, ensuring high-quality grapes and the freedom to express the typicity and potential of the Ribera from their point of view. The vineyards that produce the grapes for Ausàs Interpretación are around 40 years old, with sandy and clay-calcareous soils. The climate in the area is continental, resulting in different characteristics from the various plots that allow for a complex and harmonious wine. Floral notes come from grapes grown in light soils, fruity notes from clayey soils, freshness from high-altitude soils, and power from calcareous soils. Ausàs Interpretación is aged for 16 months in new and used oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters, producing a total of 20,000 bottles.
