The Cepa 21 Red Wine belongs to the D.O. Ribera del Duero and is made from 100% Tempranillo grape varieties.
CRIANZA: 12 months in French oak barrels.
VINEYARD: Soils belonging to the municipalities of Castrillo de Duero, Pesquera de Duero and Nava de Duero, chosen for their edaphological affinity. They present alternations of limestone and clayey layers with slight outcrops of alluvial and sedimentary pebbles. Their origin is documented in the Tertiary and more specifically during the Miocene. The vineyards have planting dates prior to 1990.

Nearly 20 twenty years ago José Moro and his brothers, the third generation of the Emilio Moro family winery, began work on an ambitious project called to lay the foundations for modern viticulture in Ribera del Duero. The founding objective of Cepa 21 was to produce, with tempranillo as the protagonist, wines based on the winemaking tradition and the terroir of the area, but in line with new trends. In short, wines of pure vine for the consumer of the 21st century.
The history of the Moro family has been written since 1932 as a project of three generations rooted in the Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of its terroir to transmit them in wines with personality.
Currently Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in the surroundings of Pesquera de Duero, birthplace of the founder of the winery, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero.
