Château Latour is a barrel-aged red wine produced by the prestigious Château Latour in the AOC Pauillac appellation (France) with cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot varieties.
While it is true that the origin of this castle dates back to 1331 by the hand of Gaucele de Castillon against attacks during the Hundred Years' War, it was not until the arrival of the Ségur family in 1695 that the property began to be exploited as a true wine estate. All a work that works generation after generation until 1963 when the Ségur family ceased to be the sole owners, passing through different British hands. In 1993 it returned to French ownership when it was acquired by the businessman François Pinault.
