A highly individual crianza, heir to the innovative spirit of Cosme Palacio, the founder of this winery, the second most historic in the Rioja Alavesa region. A classic wine that exhibits both fruity notes and woody nuances, managing to fuse them into a winemaking creation remarkable for its smoothness and vivacity. This red wine is produced with Tempranillo, the traditional grape of the Rioja area, grown in vineyards located between 500 and 600 metres above sea level.
In order to highlight the distinction and uniqueness of a specific region within the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) Rioja, the category of "Vinos de Municipio" was created, which requires that the winemaking, ageing and bottling be carried out exclusively with grapes from a particular municipality. In the case of Cosme Palacio identified as "Vino de Laguardia", this implies that both the grapes and the entire production process have taken place within the geographical limits of the municipality of Laguardia, located in the Rioja Alavesa sub-area.
Cosme Palacio Crianza has an intense and bright cherry red colour. On the nose it is voluptuous, full of sensations of fresh red fruits - strawberries, raspberries - and tones of ripe dark fruit - plum, blueberry. The memory of the new French oak barrels, with their spicy notes and fondant notes, is very clear.
