Mark: Cuentaviñas
The 2018 is the first vintage of Cuentaviñas, the personal project of young Eduardo Eguren, son of Marcos Eguren, co-owner and Technical Director of Viñedos y Bodegas Sierra Cantabria. The 2018 Tizado is made with Tempranillo from a magnificent vineyard planted in 1970 at high density. It represents the magic of a vineyard in the high zone of San Vicente de la Sonsierra where the most complex fruit character is expressed and the yelsons (calcium carbonate blocks) imprint their freshest and most chalky character on the palate. The 2018 Tiznado is a Tempranillo from an old vineyard grafted in 1923 in goblet, planted at high density. The Tiznado represents an atypical soil in the area for its color as finding sandy soils that are chalky or stained by ferric oxides is not very common. A red wine with a fantastic texture and a great cellaring capacity.
