Leda Viñas Viejas 2020 is a red wine made by Bodegas Leda within the IGP Castilla y León , from Tempranillo grapes from old vines over 50 years old located in different plots of the Duero Valley. Each plot is vinified separately to respect its character and then the wine is aged for approximately 23 months in French, American and Spanish oak barrels , which adds depth and complexity.
In the glass it has an intense cherry red color. The nose is deep and expressive, with aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and blueberry , accompanied by spicy, balsamic notes and delicate toasted and dried fruit nuances from the aging.
The palate is ample and structured, with an unctuous texture, ripe and well-integrated tannins and a remarkable concentration of fruit. The finish is long, elegant and persistent, showing the character and complexity provided by the old vines of the Duero Valley. A serious and gastronomic red, ideal with red meats, roasts or cured cheeses.
