R.M. Leirana 2023 is a white wine from Rías Baixas DO produced by Forjas del Salnés , the project led by Rodrigo Méndez in the Salnés Valley. The wine comes from selected Albariño vineyards planted on granitic soils close to the Atlantic Ocean, which provide freshness, minerality and a distinctive coastal character.
The grapes are harvested by hand and each parcel is vinified separately. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts , partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large wooden foudres, preserving the varietal purity while adding complexity and texture.
On the nose it shows aromas of citrus, white fruit and floral notes , with subtle saline and mineral hints. The palate is fresh, vibrant and well balanced , with bright acidity and a long elegant finish that reflects the Atlantic character of Albariño from the Salnés Valley. It pairs perfectly with seafood, fish and coastal cuisine.
