R.M. Leirana 2023 is an exceptional white wine from the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin, created by Forjas del Salnés, a project led by Rodrigo Méndez in the Salnés valley. This wine comes from a careful selection of Albariño vineyards planted in granitic soils that impart an unmistakable freshness and mineral character typical of the Atlantic region. The harvest is done manually, and each plot is vinified separately to preserve the unique characteristics of each vineyard. Fermentation occurs using native yeasts and combines the use of stainless steel tanks with large wooden foudres. This methodology allows for the preservation of the varietal purity of Albariño while increasing the complexity and texture of the wine. On the nose, R.M. Leirana 2023 presents an attractive bouquet that includes citrus aromas, notes of white fruit, and subtle floral hints, all combined with saline and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, balanced by marked acidity and a long, elegant finish that reflects the authenticity of Albariño from the Salnés valley.
