Desjourneys Saint-Véran 2020 is an exceptional Chardonnay from Burgundy, produced by the prestigious Sarl Desjourneys winery.
From selected vineyards in the Saint-Véran appellation, this white wine reflects the maximum expression of the southern Mâconnais terroir. Raised with a biodynamic philosophy and minimal intervention vinification, it combines freshness, minerality and complexity, offering a unique experience for lovers of high-end white wines.
Appearance: Pale golden colour with greenish reflections, bright and clean, a sign of its freshness and youth.
Nose: Elegant and expressive, with intense notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit) and white fruits (green apple, pear). As it evolves in the glass, floral nuances of jasmine and acacia emerge, along with a subtle hint of toasted hazelnuts and butter, contributed by its aging in barrels.
Palate: Fresh, vibrant and well-structured. Its balanced acidity enhances the minerality characteristic of the Saint-Véran chalky terroir. Flavours of citrus fruits and almonds blend with a creamy texture and a long finish with saline notes and hints of brioche.
