Dominio de Atauta is a red wine of D.O. C Ribera del Duero elaborated by Bodegas Dominio de Atauta. It was born with the intention of showing the concentration, complexity and potential of the grapes and vineyards of the area. The wine speaks for itself, showing great potential and intensity, with a long, fresh end of mouth.
This wine is made from a mixture of vineyards located on the slopes, moors and at the bottom of the valley. Soil compositions are varied, calcareous sands, sandy loams, clay or pebbles, all on a bed of calcareous rock. It is made in concrete tanks and in wooden tubs, selecting the material according to the characteristics of the grapes of each plot.
Dominio de Atauta is cherry-coloured almost black in depth. Intense, complex and powerful. You can find the typical aromas of La garriga, rosemary and lavender along with ripe black forest fruits and spices. Round and smooth mouth at the same time, accompanied by fine tannins granular well integrated and ripe. The passage of mouth is wide and long. Good acidity and balance with a very mining finish
