Don PX Gran Reserva 1973 is a sweet wine from the D.O. Montilla Moriles produced by Bodegas Toro Albalá.
Made only from Pedro Ximénez grapes, following the traditional system of sun-dried grapes after the harvest and subsequently aged in American oak barrels, Don PX Vieja Cosecha 1973 is yet another exceptional example of Bodegas Toro Albalá's oenological know-how and expertise.
Foreman and oenologist pamper the Don PX of this range with zeal, from ageing to bottling, which is carried out when the wine is at its optimum moment. An absolutely handcrafted and measured process that has turned this century-old Cordovan winery into a benchmark of excellent quality in the Montilla-Moriles DO. Don PX Vieja Cosecha 1973 is, due to its organoleptic characteristics, the ideal accompaniment to culinary proposals as diverse as a good foie gras, desserts made with cocoa or caramel or vanilla ice creams, chocolates and nougat.
Appearance: iodised reflections, very dark mahogany, clean and bright.
Nose: elegant, persistent, fruity aromas, candied orange, sweet spices, toffee, caramel, chocolate, raisined fruit, coffee and cardamom.
Palate: silky, fresh, well-integrated acidity and balanced.
