Produced by the Coto de Rioja winery, which was founded in 1970 in Oyón, Álava, becoming in 1997 the first Spanish winery group to go public.
Production and aging
El Coto Crianza is a red wine made with the Tempranillo grape variety. The grapes ferment in the winery in tanks of between 30 and 45 tons, where thanks to absolute temperature control, they achieve their characteristic color, structure, and perfect balance during the fermentation and maceration period.
It has an aging process of 12 months in American oak barrels, and once bottled, it is left to rest for at least 6 months.
