Falcoeira Branco is a white wine made from Godello, Doña Blanca and Palomino in D.O. Valdeorras by Telmo Rodríguez.

Falcoeira Branco is a white wine made from Godello, Doña Blanca and Palomino in D.O. Valdeorras by Telmo Rodríguez.

In the village of Santa Cruz, the Falcoeira Branco vineyard is highly valued by locals as one of the best grand cru vineyards in the region. This vineyard exhibits exceptional depth and finesse, outstanding characteristics of vineyards in this inland part of Galicia. Falcoeira is located between 400 and 600 metres altitude on narrow, vertiginous terraces clinging to steep south-west facing slopes.

After a manual harvest in small boxes, fermentation begins spontaneously using indigenous yeasts in 225L and 500L French oak barrels. This wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the wine is aged for ten months in the same barrels before bottling without fining or filtration.

The viticulture in this vineyard is carried out organically, the grapes are harvested by hand and the winemaking is done with little intervention. It is important to note that the production of Falcoeira Branco is extremely limited, with only 951 bottles produced.

Falcoeira Branco Tasting Notes

It has a complex but delicate bouquet on the nose, with remarkable depth and impressive structure. In the aftertaste, a marked saline note stands out, adding strength and character. Its profile is distinguished by elegance and refined nuances, evoking classic sophistication in the line of a Meursault, with a distinctive granitic minerality.
