Hacieda Solano Viñas Viejas is a red wine from the D.O.C Ribera del Duero made 100% with Tinta del Pais by Bodega Hacienda Solano.
This is a small family winery in which all production comes exclusively from their own plantations. They are mostly plots planted in many cases more than 100 years ago and without options for mechanization, so the fundamental tasks are still carried out by hand.
The grapes come from their own plantations in La Aguilera that are more than eighty years old.
This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Appearance: Intense cherry red color with violet edges, reflecting its youth and great concentration.
Nose: Deep and complex aromas with notes of ripe black fruits (blackberries, plums), spicy touches (pepper, cloves) and a mineral background characteristic of the calcareous soil of La Aguilera. Subtle hints of cocoa and vanilla provided by its ageing in barrels.
Palate: Powerful and enveloping entry, with silky tannins and a perfectly balanced acidity. Long and elegant finish with a spicy and fruity aftertaste.
