Whisky Kilchoman Sanaig + Case
This whisky was aged in barrels that housed sherry (70%) and bourbon (30%), this single malt is named Sanaig, after the rugged Atlantic coast of the Scottish island of Islay, where it comes from. The oloroso sherry casks have imparted their influence of dried fruits and chocolate, which, combined with the rich peat smoke, deliver a complex and heavily peated whisky. Presented in a 70 cl bottle.
Sanaig, named after a bay on the turbulent Atlantic coast of Islay, is a release from Kilchoman that has been matured in sherry and bourbon barrels. This Scottish sherry cask whisky is matured in a high proportion of oloroso sherry casks, imparting a balance of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and rich peat smoke in the spirit.
The picturesque Kilchoman Distillery is nestled among the traditional buildings of Rockside Farm, on the northwest coast of Islay.
It is recommended to serve either neat or with ice.
