It is made with grapes come from vineyards of about 50 years old planted in Finca La Linde on calcareous and clay-loam soils and at an altitude of 770 meters.
The grapes are harvested by hand and selected on site according to the optimum ripeness of the clusters. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, a second selection of the best specimens is made on the table.
Bodegas López Cristobal was born from a family winery under the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin in order to use their own vineyards as a basis for creating high quality wines.
Its founder, Santiago López, is a technical agricultural engineer who has always been linked to the rural environment. Already in the early days of the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero he opted for the planting of vineyards as a preliminary step to the formation of his own winery. After some early years focused solely on the world of viticulture, in 1994 he made the leap to winemaking.
