Maria de Moya , made with Bobal and Merlot by Bodegas De Moya, is a red wine with a very good value for money in the D.O. Valencia.
The vineyards are located on a north-facing slope at an altitude of 850 metres. Organic viticulture without certification.
Calcareous soils with a sandy loam texture that allows good water infiltration and good aeration suitable for deep root development. Old vines 27-43 years old. Low yield of 1 kg per stock or 7HL/Ha.
Selection of grapes in the vineyards during the harvest in 15kg boxes. The grapes are cooled at 4C for 24 hours. Fermentation in 10,000L stainless steel tanks and 1,000L wooden barrels. Manual remount. Total duration of fermentation and maceration from 21 to 30 days.
Only wine is used of flower Maturation in a selection of oak barrels 225L French (30% new - 70% second and third year)
