Elaboration and aging

Muga Crianza is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo, 3% Graciano. Aged for 6 months in American oak vats and for 24 months in American and French oak barrels of 225 l. It then rests in the bottle for another 12 months. Clarification with fresh egg white. Once in the bottle, it undergoes a refining process for at least 12 months in the cellar.

Tasting notes for Muga Crianza

• Appearance: Muga Crianza has a cherry red color.
• Nose: In a still glass, defined and dominant black and red fruits can be perceived (blackberry, currant, wild plum). When we swirl the glass, fine leathers begin to unfold intertwined with the fruit. In a secondary plane, and only as an accompaniment, select oak spices unfold, still distinguishable but in close conjunction with the wine.
• Palate: The entry into the mouth is the most outstanding feature of this vintage: juicy, fleshy, dominant, ample, mineral, structured, elegant... adjectives run out. Despite everything, it is in an incipient state of integration, we find slight tannic appendages that will round off in the short term.

Pairing

Muga Crianza is ideal to accompany roasts and Riojan-style potatoes. It is recommended to serve this red wine at a temperature between 16 and 18ºC.
