Palate: Balanced and elegant, maintains good freshness.

All types of meats, especially grilled beef and roasted suckling pig.
It is ideal with one of the most typical Riojan specialties: grilled lamb chops with vine shoot embers.

Harvest: Manual with field grape selection.
Fermentation: 15 days in stainless steel tanks.
Routines: daily pumping over.
Aging: 24 months in French and American oak barrels, racking every 6 months. Once bottled, it remains a minimum of 12 months in the cellar.
Location: El Gallo + selection of plots from Elciego suppliers (Rioja Alavesa).
Climate: Mediterranean oceanic, with continental and Atlantic influence.
After a difficult 2017 defined by the late April frost, 2018 stands out for a great production and a notable overall quality of the grape.
Soils: Calcareous soils with clay and sandstone incursions, with a clay loam texture and very poor in organic matter.
