Naiades 2016 is a high-end white wine produced by Bodegas Naia, in the D.O. Rueda.
It is a 100% Verdejo, from century-old ungrafted vineyards, some of the oldest in the region. Aged on lees in French oak barrels for approximately 7 months, Naiades is a benchmark among Spanish white wines, standing out for its complexity, structure and aging capacity.
This wine is an excellent choice for those looking for a signature Verdejo, with elegant nuances and an evolution in the bottle that distinguishes it from the usual profile of young Rueda whites.
Appearance: Bright golden color with amber reflections, a sign of its evolution and aging on lees. It has a dense and well-defined tear.
Nose: Intense and complex aromas. Notes of ripe fruit (peach, apricot, baked apple) combined with elegant hints of honey, nuts (hazelnuts, almonds), butter and vanilla, from its aging in barrels. Subtle mineral background that provides depth and character.
Palate: Great volume and smoothness in the mouth, with a silky and enveloping texture. Balanced acidity, which provides freshness and elegance. Flavors of ripe fruit, candied citrus and sweet spices stand out, with a long and persistent finish, in which notes of nuts and smoked fruits reappear.
