Range of beers from Kloster Andechs
The Andechs Monastery is located on a hill to the east of Upper Bavaria. Its origins date back to the year 1132, when the counts donated their territory to the Catholic Church. Beer production began in the 15th century.
In 1906, a seven-story malt house was built, and in 1950, the first bottling plant was erected, which greatly simplified the brewing process and allowed them to expand their products to other parts of the world.
The 20th century was very important for the abbey, as in the 1970s, separate facilities were set up at the foot of the mountain to increase production.
