The champagne Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque Rosé denotes the floral elegance that characterizes the Cuvée Belle Époque rosé. It reveals the delicate colour of the wine as if it were a tribute to the exceptional Perrier-Jouët vineyards, which have been classified with 99.2% in the "Crus scale" of the Champagne region.
Floral, elegant and chiseled, Belle Époque Rosé 2004 has been created by Hervé Deschamps, the seventh Chef of Caves de Perrier-Jouët, according to a tradition perpetuated for more than two hundred years. As with the Cuvée Belle Époque, the wines are selected barrel by barrel and elaborated one by one. The assembly is carried out with the greatest precision, which guarantees that all the nuances of the different wines can be tasted in full.
The 2006 vintage has been as generous as nature itself. The winter frosts did not affect the vineyards and a cold month of June prolonged the flowering, while a late Veranillo blessed the fruits with an optimal ripening. Finally, the grapes reached a perfect balance between sugars and acidity. The quality of the must seemed to herald a Grand Cru and this promise was fulfilled.
View:
Belle Époque Rosé 2006 wears an elegant and luminous pink cloak with orange hues, complemented with a touch of yellow. The lingering bubbles.
Nose:
Delicate and complex at the same time, Belle Époque Rosé 2004 combines with mastery the aromas of flowers and fruits. The fragrance of peonies gives way to notes of fresh red fruits (strawberry and raspberry) and citrus (orange and pink grapefruit), to finish with pomegranate.
Taste:
A fresh and refined attack, with notes of fresh pomegranate and pink grapefruit. Round, graceful and harmonious, Belle Époque Rosé 2004 displays a long, silky finish in the mouth.
