Our history:
At the beginning of the 70s, two people with an ambitious vision for the time proposed to bring
healthy ecological vegetable products to Spanish homes, taking special care of the taste.
Juan López and Teresa Madurga (chemical engineers) have been working since then to offer the market what until then had been a merely personal choice.
In their home kitchen, they began developing recipes, mixing ingredients, and creating products. In a small local set up as a work area, they gave shape, in an artisanal way, to their first creations: meatballs and vegetable chorizo, something truly innovative and even risky in those years.
After the humble initial success, selling "door to door", they decide to rent a
larger space, where they undertake marketing at a more professional level.
In 1978, the Biosurya factory was officially established, thus professionalizing, for the first time in Spain, the manufacture of organic plant products. Then what is today one of the oldest and most experienced brands in the organic market was born.

Today, Ahimsa is established as a leader in the manufacture of
organic vegetable products , putting all efforts into specialization: we are exclusively dedicated to the development of vegetable proteins, with 100% of our catalog being own manufacture.
Of course, currently our engine is still the same that drove Juan and Teresa to fulfill their dream: we are driven by honesty and commitment, without losing sight of innovation to offer products that take care of you and the planet without sacrificing taste. .
