Elaboration: The Abadal 3.9 vineyards have the peculiarity of growing in a wooded area with limestone soil over red clay. These are 30-year-old vines that enjoy low rainfall and a marked temperature fluctuation between day and night. Combining traditional winemaking techniques with cutting-edge concepts results in high-quality, identity-rich grapes. When the grapes reach optimal ripeness, they are manually selected and harvested.
In the winery, each variety of
Abadal 3.9 is vinified separately, in stainless steel tanks, controlling the temperature and maintaining the traditional "submerged cap" during fermentation. It then ages in different French and American oak barrels of 1 and 2 years for 12 months. Finally, it rests for another 12 months in the bottle before being released to the market.
