The Vino Tinto de Winery Arts de la Bodega Vintae, presents this Red Wine from the IGP Ribera del Queiles (Spain), with the grape varieties Garnacha, Merlot and Tempranillo
This is a selection of old vineyards of low production from the high slopes at the foot of the Moncayo, in Aragon, to the warmer lands through which the Queiles River flows, already within the community of Navarra.
Its soil is a territory emerged from an ancient sea, with fluvial sedimentation, in which we find mainly gravel and sand, as well as clay, silt and sandstone.
The climate of that vintage was generally warm, with a mild winter and somewhat more humid than usual, and a dry summer and less hot than the previous one.
The harvest took place in mid-September in the lower part of the vineyards, as well as in the first weeks of October in the higher vineyards. It is collected in 15 kg boxes and quickly transported to the winery.
For its production, fermentation and maceration were carried out in 15,000 kg vats at 28 degrees for a month. It also underwent malolactic maceration in French oak barrels. This was carried out weekly batonage and controlled the barrels individually.
It was aged for 14 months in single-use French and American oak barrels.
Iunusual, sweet and simple to drink, are the three characteristics that are concentrated in this Vintae red wine from the unknown Ribera del Queiles; an area located in an interesting wine triangle between Navarra and Aragón in which a winemaking style characteristic of New World wines prevails. The symbolism of the name (3 squared) represents the soil, water, sun and wind in a bottle that shows us the potential of this area.
