Sight: 'De color cereza.'
Mouth: 'Especiada, balsámica y con buena acidez.'
Nose: 'Balsámica, de especias dulces, hierbas de monte y fruta roja.'
The Red Wine Thirty Thousand Maravedíes is a wine made with an excellent combination of the Garnacha and Morenillo grape varieties. They come from vineyards between 30 and 70 years old with highly weathered granite soil, sandy texture, and rich in organic matter. This grape is adapted to a dry Mediterranean climate where summers are hot and winters are long and cold.
It belongs to the Marañones Winery and has been made with manual harvest in 18-kilo boxes. It undergoes a cold pre-fermentation maceration process, then ferments in wooden vats and is subsequently transferred to new and used French oak barrels.
The aging period is divided so that for a period of 8 months the aging is done with its own lees in the barrel and then it undergoes a blending aging in a 4,500-liter wooden vat for approximately 2 months.
Serve this wine at a temperature of 16º.
