The Clos Alkio Fam de Vida Merlot Red Wine is a standout creation from the DOQ Priorat Designation of Origin (Spain), made 100% with Merlot grapes. Its fermentation process is carried out with aging in French oak barrels for 6 months, giving it a smoothness and elegance characteristic of this variety. With a limited production of 1800 bottles, each bottle is a true gem that reflects Clos Alkio's commitment to quality.
Founded in 2020 by Mikko Alkio, a Finnish wine enthusiast and lover of the Catalan region, Clos Alkio has acquired 25 hectares of vineyards in the small village of Gratallops, in the heart of Priorat, one of Spain's most prestigious areas for viticulture. The winery aims to produce high-quality wines, maintaining the tradition of Priorat and using mainly old vines of Grenache and Carignan, as well as other international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, and Tempranillo.
Clos Alkio also stands out for producing complex white wines, with special attention to their unique single varietals, allowing wine lovers to enjoy the natural and authentic flavors of Priorat grapes. Additionally, the winery has invested in state-of-the-art machinery and the best production tools to ensure that each bottle is a sample of the highest quality.
