Red Wine Finca Moncloa
It is a red wine from the Finca Moncloa Winery (Gonzalez Byass) located in the province of Cadiz, in the municipality of Arcos de la Frontera and close to the Guadalcacin Reservoir and the Sierra Valleja, in a paradisiacal enclave, known by the local elders as the "land of the vineyards of Arcos"The Finco Moncloa Red Wine is made from the following grape varieties: 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Syrah, 18% Tintilla de Rota, 2% Petit Verdot. It belongs to the Designation of Origin V.T Cádiz.
The harvest is done manually by making the selection in the vineyard itself. After malolactic fermentation, it was aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
The weather in 2014 was short of rain, the rainiest months were January and February. In spring there were periods of high temperatures and strong levante, coinciding with flowering, and the summer was cool, with numerous days of dew, which meant that despite the low rainfall had a good ripening of the fruit and the quality of the grapes and musts was also very good.
