The Red Wine Flor Silvestre Clos Alkio, produced by Clos Alkio, is an authentic expression of the prestigious Denominación de Origen Calificada Priorat. This wine is composed of a perfect balance of Black Grenache and Carignan, varieties that reflect the essence of this unique region in Catalonia.
Aged for (Carignan) 9 months in French oak barrels and (Black Grenache) 9 months in amphoras.
Clos Alkio, founded in 2020 by Mikko Alkio, a Finnish wine enthusiast, is located near the picturesque village of Gratallops, in the heart of Priorat. With 25 hectares of vineyards, this winery combines tradition and innovation to produce exceptional wines. The vineyards of old Garnacha and Carignan vines, along with other varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Merlot, are cultivated using techniques that respect the environment and guarantee maximum quality.
In addition, Clos Alkio has restored a 13th-century old cellar on Saperas Street 7, turning it into a modern production center with the capacity to process up to 25,000 kilograms of grapes using state-of-the-art machinery.
