Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta presents us with the Red Wine Martinez Lacuesta Family Collection from the Rioja Designation of Origin (Spain), made from the grape varieties Tempranillo 75%, Graciano 20%, and Mazuelo 5%.

The Family Collection is a tribute to the winemaking tradition of Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta. This wine delves into finesse and refinement, with a complexity and tertiary evolution that make it a benchmark of the winery. Its profile is clean, honest, and true to the house style, combining delicacy and structure in every sip.

The Red Wine Martinez Lacuesta Family Collection is made with selected grapes from vineyards located in the municipality of Haro, at an altitude of 430-500 meters above sea level. These plots, planted over 40 years ago on clay-limestone soils, offer a typical and classic Rioja blend, where the Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo varieties reach their maximum expression.

The harvest is done manually in small boxes of up to 10 kilos, ensuring the care of each cluster. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in wooden vats at 28ºC, with a total maceration period of 15 days. The spontaneous malolactic fermentation took place over 90 days, and in March 2012, the wine was transferred to American oak barrels with an average age of 3 years.

During the almost 3 years of aging, the wine was manually racked every 6 months by gravity, using the traditional method. Finally, it was bottled in 2016, guaranteeing a natural evolution and a unique character.

This wine is ideal for those seeking a perfect combination of tradition, elegance, and complexity. Its profile is perfect for pairing with red meats, traditional stews, and aged cheeses.

If you have doubts about which is the best wine for your special occasion, our team of sommeliers is ready to advise you. Don't think twice and buy the Red Wine Martinez Lacuesta Family Collection in our online store. Discover the essence of Rioja in every glass.
