Montecillo Gran Reserva Red Wine
Single varietal red wine made by Montecillo Wineries, with over 140 years of experience, with 95% Tempranillo grape and 5% Graciano. This wine belongs to the Rioja D.O.Ca, Rioja Alta.
This wine comes from vines grown in goblet on poor soils with sandy texture in the Rioja Alta area, with an average age exceeding 35 years and a yield not exceeding 5500 kg/ha. They are harvested with great care and transported to the winery in small containers. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28oC, bleeding and long maceration of three weeks in contact with the skins. Aging in French and American oak barrels (90%-10%) for 28 months and subsequent aging in bottle for at least 4 years.
The optimal serving temperature for this wine is 18º.
