Sanamaro Sobre Lías is an exclusive Galician white wine made from Albariño and Loureiro Blanco by Pazo San Mauro of the Rías Baixas DO.

Sanamaro Sobre Lías, a plot wine from the historic Pazo San Mauro, is created from a careful selection of the best Albariño and Loureiro grapes. This complex and elegant wine stands out for its minerality and voluptuousness, the result of its six-month ageing in French oak vats.

The meticulous selection is carried out both on the estate and in the winery, focusing on the most outstanding clusters from the "La Fraga" and "Los Bancales" plots. Depending on their characteristics, one third is made as whole bunches to bring freshness to the wine, and two thirds with de-stemmed grapes that are cold macerated for several hours before pressing, thus extracting the maximum intensity of aromas.

Additionally, a significant part of the final "coupage" is fermented and aged on lees in small French oak vats, contributing to the final blend with body and structure. Another part of the blend is vinified in cocciopesto amphorae.

Tasting Notes of Sanamaro sobre Lías

Sanamaro undergoes six months of ageing on lees, with manual bâtonnage, followed by one year of bottle ageing. This wine reflects the most singular plots of Pazo San Mauro, where Albariño and Loureiro express themselves in a unique way. A broad and nuanced wine, marked by the minerality and freshness of the Albariño, the floral notes of the Loureiro and the silkiness of the treatment with its lees. Complex and elegant.
