Quintaluna is a distinguished organic white wine from the D.O. Rueda, made by Bodegas Ossian. This wine is produced from indigenous grapes selected from various plots around the municipality of Nieva. The vineyard, farmed through mass selection from an old vineyard, reflects the rich winemaking history of the region. With a unique terroir profile characterized by sandy soils rich in carbonates, this wine has withstood historical pests that have affected other European vineyards. The production process includes fermentation with native yeasts and is carried out manually, with harvesting in 15-kilogram boxes. After selecting the best clusters, they are gently pressed, and the must ferments in small stainless-steel tanks. For a period of nine months, the wine matures on its lees in these tanks, as well as in fudre and barrels, which gives it unique complexity and character. In tasting, Quintaluna shows a bright straw-yellow color and aromas of white flowers combined with citrus and fresh herb notes. On the palate, it is clean, fresh, fruity, and with excellent acidity, ensuring a comprehensive and persistent tasting experience. Ideal to pair with seafood dishes, fresh salads, or as an aperitif.
