Dobel is a commemorative tequila that was launched in honour of the 50th birthday of its founder, Juan Beckmann. This tequila is distinguished by using only aged agaves, which are carefully cultivated and aged for 6 to 8 years to reach full maturity. Each agave is harvested by hand just before the rainy season to obtain the highest quality of sugars and agave notes, which allows the master tequilero to achieve an exceptional body in the final product.
This tequila represents an extraordinary addition to the Maestro Dobel brand, as it combines the house's finest extra añejos, which have been aged in American and French oak barrels, as well as receiving a final finish in sherry casks. During the fermentation process, a meticulous selection of yeasts is made, and the juices are fermented for up to 72 hours. The tequila is then slowly distilled using traditional copper stills, resulting in a tequila with an outstanding profile and extraordinary purity in its sensory notes.
Aroma: When perceived, delicate floral notes can be appreciated, together with aromas of vanilla and spices from the barrel, such as cinnamon and nutmeg. Notes of honey and caramel, resulting from the cooking of pure agave in their ovens, also stand out. In addition, a subtle smoky aroma of chocolate, tobacco and sweet vanilla can be detected.
Taste: On the palate, this tequila presents itself as robust and full-bodied, evoking the toasted flavours of the barrel with hints of chocolate and coffee. Then, notes of honey and dried fruits, such as figs and dates, come through.
Finish: On the finish, soft hints of oak, chocolate, vanilla and clove linger on the palate.
