More than 40 years ago, the Fernández Rivera family converted a small winery in their hometown, Pesquera de Duero, into a winery that would end up marking a milestone in the history of Spanish wine. The appearance of Tinto Pesquera marked a style that would later be followed by other Ribera del Duero winemakers. The international accolade for this label came when the international guru Robert Parker awarded 98 points to Tinto Pesquera 1982, comparing it to the legendary Pétrus.
