Valduero Crianza, aged for 15 months in oak barrels, they like to indicate that it is more than just a crianza. To us, it seems like a harmonious, spicy, and very well-structured wine.

This family winery was established in Gumiel de Mercado, Burgos, in 1984 and is one of the oldest in the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.

Elaboration and aging

Valduero Crianza is made with Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. The grapes, hand-harvested in 14 kg boxes, fermented for 9 days at temperatures between 23 and 28ºC, followed by a 10-day maceration. During this time, when reaching the maximum fermentation temperature, the daily remontage process is carried out.

The final step is to let the wine rest in oak barrels from two different origins for about 15 months, and at least 12 more months in the bottle.
