Production and Aging

Vineyards: Selection of estate vineyards in the terroir of Briones, Rioja Alta, with an average age of between 15 and 20 years, grown in clay-iron profile soils. Harvest: Manual. All grapes remain in a cold chamber for 36 hours before being processed on a selection table. The harvest began in early October. Production: After a gentle crushing, the must is gravity-fed into small French oak vats where it ferments and macerates in contact with the skins at a maximum controlled temperature of 28 °C, receiving light pump-overs for 20 days. Fermentation: In small French oak vats.

Aging: 16 months in French and American oak barrels, with periodic rackings and a minimum of 6 months in the cellar.
