The Vino Vino Blanco Santa Ema Gran Reserva Chardonnay comes from the Leyda Valley. Vineyards very close to the coast that deliver expressive wines with great minerality.
The coastal Maipo valley was characterized by having a higher number of precipitations than in previous agricultural years, ensuring a availability of water throughout the profile, which resulted in a homogeneous sprouting, although somewhat later than usual. The whites of the 2023 vintage had a high aromatic intensity with their characteristic citrus notes, mint and green chili, and with marked and vibrant acidity in the mouth. Cold seasons that generate gradual maturity, achieving harvests of great potential by minimizing the loss of aromas in the vineyard and maintaining the natural acidity of the berries, prolonging the life of our wines in the bottle.
All the grapes were processed through whole cluster pressing. The must was decanted and fermented in French and American oak barrels, first use, and kept on its lees for a period of 8 months, without malolactic fermentation development. After this barrel aging period, the wine was clarified and bottled to maintain all its complexity and elegance.
