Amrut Indian Single Malt Whisky is the first 100% locally produced single malt whiskey in India, the flagship of the distillery. Launched in 2004, it has become the benchmark for Indian whiskies. It is made from malted barley from the Punjab provinces. This whiskey has a distinct spicy character accompanied by ripe fruit. It ages in ex-bourbon barrels. Nose: Notes of licorice and bourbon with an almost perfect sweet and sour balance. Toasted honey and toffee. Palate: A rich combination of barley and oak emerges in the forefront. Similar to its aroma, bourbon, licorice, and toffee emerge again, with the difference that this time, the barley adds a new nuance. Finish: Prolonged woody notes that offer a sweet and dry touch, accompanied by a hint of caramel and cream.
