Atteca is a red wine from the Calatayud designation of origin, located in the Aragón region. This wine is produced by Bodega Ateca, using Garnacha grapes from old vineyards cultivated on hills at altitudes between 700 and 1000 meters. These plants grow in soils rich in metamorphic rocks and clay gravels, adding uniqueness to its flavor profile. After careful fermentation in stainless steel, the wine matures for 10 months in French oak barrels, contributing to its complexity. In a tasting, Atteca offers a deep cherry color and intense aromas of ripe red fruits, such as raspberry. These aromas are complemented by spicy notes of cocoa, vanilla, and licorice, evidence of its noble aging. On the palate, it is powerful and full, with fruity freshness and a savory character that reveals mineral complexity. It leaves a remarkable finish where fruity and spicy aromas resurge, being a magnificent expression of the elegant Aragón Garnacha with very ripe tannins.
