Blaneo Chardonnay is a wine from the Navarra Denomination of Origin, made with 100% Chardonnay grapes by Bodegas Pagos de Araiz. The production process begins with the handpicking of the grapes, which are then destemmed and pressed. The resulting must undergoes natural clarification in stainless steel tanks, then is transferred to new 500-liter French oak barrels, where the alcoholic fermentation takes place over 25 days. Following this, the wine is racked and aged in the same barrels with its lees, using regular batonnages for 6 months. The bottle is gently clarified in February before bottling. This wine features an attractive pale yellow color with golden hues, and on the nose offers floral and citrus notes complemented by light toasting. On the palate, it highlights a ripe fruit sensation, with acidity that prolongs the finish, reminiscent of yellow fruits and white flower aromas. This wine comes from a vineyard known as 'Chardonnay Chamaco', characterized by poor sloped soils that contribute to the concentration of the grapes. The 2019 harvest was marked by varied climatic conditions, resulting in a limited production of 1,200 bottles. It is a wine that invites enjoyment in good company.
