Branco de Santa Cruz is a prominent white wine from the D.O. Valdeorras, created by the wine company Telmo Rodríguez under the Ladeiras do Xil project. Made from the grape varieties Godello, Treixadura, and Doña Blanca, it is harvested from three old vineyards located in the village of Santa Cruz. These vineyards have varying orientations and are planted on pure granite, giving the wine a unique character. The production process includes fermentation and aging in wooden fudres for over a year, followed by an additional resting period of four years in the bottle. The tasting note describes a good combination of white fruit and a marked mineral character, providing a fresh, balanced wine with a long and salty finish.
