Clos de l’Obac Miserere 2015 is a masterpiece of Priorat viticulture, produced by Costers del Siurana, a pioneering winery in the quality wine revolution in Priorat.
This wine is a balanced and timeless blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot, Syrah, and Tempranillo, from vines grown on costers (steep slopes) of licorella, the characteristic slate soil of Priorat.
Unlike other wines from the same terroir, Miserere opts for a more restrained, elegant, and long-lasting expression, becoming a wine for aging with a Burgundian soul in the heart of the Mediterranean.
Deep garnet color with evolving brick-red edges. Medium-high depth, clean, and bright.
Complex and integrated aromas. Notes of ripe black fruit (plums, blackberries) predominate, accompanied by sweet spices (cinnamon, clove), tobacco, leather, and balsamic notes. The minerality of the liqueur is very present, providing depth and character. Elegant aromatic development with oxygenation.
Fine and balanced structure. Polished tannins and lively acidity refresh and lengthen the palate. Flavors of candied fruit, spices, bitter cocoa, and a mineral base linger for a long time. Long, harmonious finish with great aging potential.
