This malt whisky has been carefully aged in ex-Bourbon casks, giving it a distinctive character. Craigellachie 13 Years is noted for its 'non chillfiltered' bottling process, meaning it hasn’t undergone treatments at extremely low temperatures, preserving its purity and complex flavor profile. In tasting notes, this whisky is sweet and fresh, with hints of malted barley, apples, and mandarin which transform into a spicier palate including notes of cinnamon, tobacco, and oak. Additionally, there are touches of smoke that become more subtle over time, culminating in an exceptionally long finish, with fresh citrus notes and a slight bitterness enhancing the palate experience.
