Net weight:

2023 vintage wine made by Domaine Rostaing in Côte Blonde, Côte-Rôtie, in the Northern Rhône. It combines approximately 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier, with 18 to 24 months of aging in French oak. It stands out for its floral notes, black fruit and silky texture.
2023 vintage wine from Domaine Rostaing, the estate run by Pierre Rostaing after the handover from René. It comes from the Côte Blonde cru in Côte-Rôtie, Northern Rhône Valley, with south-facing slopes and soils of mica schist, decomposed slate and arzel. Its blend brings together approximately 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier, co-fermented. The grapes are hand-harvested; vinification uses a high proportion of whole clusters and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in temperature-controlled tanks. Aging lasts about 18 to 24 months in traditional French oak barrels and demi-muids, with only 10-15% new oak. Deep ruby in color with violet highlights, it offers violet, wild blackberry, white pepper, lavender and smoky notes. On the palate it is silky, with polished tannins, fresh acidity and a mineral, saline finish. Serve at 16-18 °C and decant for 1 to 2 hours. Pair with suckling lamb rack, venison loin, roast duck with red berry reduction and aged hard cheeses.
