Casa Balaguer-Vinessens was born in 2017 when Andrés Carulland Marta Ribera, Vinessens winemakers take charge of winemaking at Casa Balaguer,the Rafa Bernabé winery. Maintaining the essence of the two initial projects they achieve a beautiful collection of natural wines "made in Alicante" of the most expressive and original.El Carro de la Mata comes from vines located in the Natural Park of La Mata, in the Alicante town of Vilella. Vines with an average age of 30 years, planted in sandy and saline soils and very close to the Mediterranean Sea. Half of the must of El Carro de la Matais vinified spontaneously and with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks for 4 to 6 months and the other half in new 500-liter French oak barrels where it remains in the open air for 4 to 6 months without batonage. Finally it is bottled without filtering or fining.El Carro de la Mata is the result of a traditional and artisanal agriculture born from a collection of cultural vineyards saved from real estate speculation.
