El Velado, produced by Telmo Rodríguez Winery at Bodega Lanzaga, is a red wine that represents one of the most exclusive jewels of Rioja Alavesa. This wine is made in a historic vineyard of 0.93 hectares in Lanciego, with vines over 80 years old on clay-limestone soils. The traditional blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo is created while respecting biodiversity, using ecological and biodynamic methods. Manual harvesting and artisanal vinification, with fermentation in oak tanks and 15 months of aging, stand out in its process. The result is a cult wine, fresh with sublime elegance, with a limited production of 1,500 bottles per year. It presents a cherry red color, with aromas of red and black fruits and a persistent mineral finish. It is recommended to serve between 14ºC and 16ºC, decanting it beforehand to enjoy its aromatic complexity.
