Finca Valdelroble is a red wine produced by Bodegas Felix Callejo with Tinta Fina and Merlot in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
This site is located on the edge of the Sotillo moor, at an altitude of 930 metres above sea level, it is the highest vineyard of the winery. In the '80s his father destined this estate for a landing strip for small planes, given the height and flatness of the terrain. A controversial idea for the time.
The soils of the Sotillo moors are limestone soils. The bedrock, on the edges of the moors, is very close to the surface, with the presence of loose stones that favour drainage and aeration. It is an isolated vineyard, the only one around, the result is a unique blend of Tinto Fino and Merlot.
Intense colour, vivid red, dense, tinges the glass with colour and tears. Deep and delicate aroma; wild flowers, winds of the moor mixed with exotic ripe fruits. The limestone entrails can be perceived, with spices and smoky notes in the background. On the palate, memories of the grape, fresh tannin, still to be polished, voluminous and at the same time grainy on the palate, you can feel the ripeness of the grape and the long finish.
