Gloria de Moya 2021 is a red wine from the D.O. Valencia made from Monastrell grapes by the prestigious Bodegas De Moya. This wine stands out for its exceptional quality-price ratio and is a highly valued choice in the market. The vineyards where the grapes come from are on a slope at 650 meters above sea level in the beautiful Vall d'Albaida, an area known for its sustainable viticulture. The sandy soil with coarse calcareous geological elements contributes to the wine's uniqueness. The 40-year-old vines yield only 1.5 kg per vine or 12 hectoliters per hectare, resulting in a superior concentration and quality of the grapes.
During harvest, the grapes are carefully selected and collected in 15 kg boxes, then cooled to 4ºC for 24 hours to preserve their characteristics. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, ensuring a balanced extraction of flavors. This process, which includes manual pump-overs, lasts between 20 and 25 days. Only free-run wine is used to ensure maximum quality. Subsequently, the wine ages in second- and third-year French oak barrels of 225 liters and 1,000 liters for 12 months, imparting complexity and elegance.
